Evva Sofia Pereira Liapis is a Toronto-based photographer currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography at Toronto Metropolitan University.
Her practice explores the complexities of human connection, how photography can reveal what often goes unnoticed, and how stories can be told without giving everything away at first glance.
Working in both analog and digital formats, Evva Sofia is deeply drawn to the process behind each image, believing that photography is far more than the simple click of a button.
Raised in a home where a camera was always within reach, Evva Sofia learned early on from her mother the importance and power of images. No family gathering or vacation passed without a photograph, and this constant presence of photography shaped her relationship with memory, storytelling, and identity.
Today, her images fill the spaces around her: walls, surfaces, and shelves; serving as both inspiration and comfort.
Whether behind the lens or simply getting lost in a captured moment, photography remains at the center of her life.
